Refund policy

At RB Atelier, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights when buying from us online and how returns, refunds, and faulty-item claims are handled.

This policy applies to purchases made through RB Atelier by consumers in the Netherlands and the EU.

1. Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the legal right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period starts on the day after you, or someone appointed by you, receives the order. If your order is delivered in separate shipments, the period starts on the day after you receive the last item.

In addition to your legal right of withdrawal, RB Atelier offers an extended return period of 30 days after receiving your order, provided the item meets the return conditions below.

2. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • Unworn and unused;
  • In its original condition;
  • Returned with the original packaging, labels, and accessories where reasonably possible;
  • Not damaged due to use beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.

You may inspect the item as you would in a physical shop. If the item has been used more than necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, or fit, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value.

3. Hygiene-Sealed Jewellery

For hygiene and health protection reasons, certain jewellery items cannot be returned once the hygiene seal has been broken.

This applies especially to:

  • Body piercing jewellery;
  • Earrings or jewellery intended to be worn through the skin;
  • Any item supplied in sealed hygiene packaging.

If the hygiene seal has been opened or broken, the item cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned, unless they are faulty or not as described:

5. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, incomplete, or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

Please include:

  • Your order number;
  • A description of the issue;
  • Clear photos of the item, packaging, and defect where possible.

Your statutory rights under Dutch consumer law remain unaffected. If the product does not meet what you may reasonably expect from it, we will provide an appropriate solution, such as repair, replacement, or refund.

If the issue is confirmed to be our responsibility, we will cover the reasonable return shipping costs.

6. How to Return an Item

Include your order number and tell us whether you want to:

  • Withdraw from the purchase;
  • Return an item within our extended 30-day return period;
  • Report a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item.

Once we receive your request, we will provide return instructions.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as this may delay your refund.

7. Return Shipping Costs

For standard returns under the right of withdrawal or our extended return policy, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.

If the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, RB Atelier will cover the reasonable return shipping costs.

We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches us.

8. Refunds

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

If you withdraw from the full order within the legal withdrawal period, we will refund:

  • The purchase price of the returned item(s);
  • The standard original delivery costs, where applicable.

We do not refund extra costs for premium or express shipping if you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard delivery method.

If you return only part of an order, the original delivery costs will not be refunded unless required by law or the item was faulty.

We will process your refund within 14 calendar days after receiving your withdrawal notice. However, we may wait until we have received the returned item(s), or until you provide proof that you have sent them back.

9. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges.

To replace an item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.
