5. Jewellery Safety and Use

Our jewellery should be used with reasonable care.

  • Checking whether materials are suitable for your skin sensitivity or allergies;
  • Not wearing jewellery in situations where it may cause injury or damage.

Some people may experience allergic reactions or skin irritation from jewellery materials. If irritation occurs, stop wearing the product.

Where required, RB Atelier aims to comply with applicable EU product safety and chemical safety requirements for jewellery, including restrictions relating to substances such as nickel, lead, and cadmium.

All prices are shown in euros (€).

Prices include VAT where applicable, unless clearly stated otherwise.

Shipping costs, import costs, customs charges, or other delivery-related costs will be shown during checkout where applicable.

We may change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders that we have already confirmed.

If a product is listed with an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the order and refund you. We will contact you if this happens.

7. Payment

Payment must be completed through the payment methods offered at checkout.

Available payment methods may include, depending on our store settings and payment providers:

  • iDEAL;
  • Credit or debit card;
  • PayPal;
  • Klarna or other payment services;
  • Shopify Payments;

Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. RB Atelier does not store full credit card or debit card numbers.

Your order will only be processed after payment has been successfully received or authorised.

8. Order Confirmation

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

The purchase agreement is formed when we confirm your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order before dispatch if:

  • Delivery to the provided address is not possible.

We ship within the Netherlands and may also offer international shipping depending on the destination.

Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree to a specific delivery date.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as:

  • Customs checks;
  • Incorrect delivery information provided by the customer;
  • Strikes, disruptions, or severe weather;
  • Force majeure events.

For consumer purchases, we remain responsible for the order until it has been delivered to you or to a person designated by you.

10. International Orders, Customs, and Import Duties

For orders delivered outside the Netherlands or outside the European Union, customs duties, import VAT, taxes, handling fees, or other charges may apply.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, these costs are the responsibility of the customer.

You are responsible for ensuring that the product can legally be imported into your country.

RB Atelier is not responsible for delays, additional costs, or failed delivery caused by customs processes or import restrictions.

11. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the Netherlands or the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 calendar days without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period starts on the day after you, or someone appointed by you, receives the order. If your order is delivered in separate shipments, the withdrawal period starts on the day after you receive the last item.

12. Extended 30-Day Return Period

In addition to your legal 14-day right of withdrawal, RB Atelier offers an extended return period of 30 days after receiving your order.

To qualify for our extended return period, the item must be:

  • Unworn;
  • Unused;
  • In its original condition;
  • Returned with original packaging, labels, and accessories where reasonably possible;
  • Not damaged due to use beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.

This extended return period does not limit your statutory consumer rights.

13. Return Exceptions for Hygiene Reasons

For hygiene and health protection reasons, certain products cannot be returned once the hygiene seal has been broken.

This applies especially to:

  • Body piercing jewellery;
  • Earrings or jewellery intended to be worn through the skin;
  • Hygiene-sensitive jewellery supplied in sealed packaging.

If the hygiene seal has been opened or broken, the item cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal, unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.

14. Custom or Personalised Products

Custom-made, personalised, or made-to-order products cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal if they are made specifically for you.

This does not affect your legal rights if the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.

15. Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Return & Refund Policy.

If you validly withdraw from your full order within the legal withdrawal period, we will refund:

  • The purchase price of the returned product;
  • The standard original delivery costs, where applicable.

We do not refund additional costs for premium or express delivery if you chose a more expensive delivery method than our standard delivery option.

We will process refunds within 14 calendar days after receiving your withdrawal notice. However, we may wait until we have received the returned product or until you provide proof that you have sent it back.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

16. Return Shipping Costs

For standard returns under the right of withdrawal or our extended return policy, you are responsible for return shipping costs unless stated otherwise.

If the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, RB Atelier will cover reasonable return shipping costs where required by law.

You are responsible for the returned item until it reaches us. We recommend using tracked shipping.

17. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Products

If your product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

  • Clear photos of the product, packaging, and defect where possible.

Your statutory rights under Dutch consumer law remain unaffected.

Depending on the situation, we may offer:

We do not apply a strict 48-hour deadline for faulty products, because this could limit mandatory consumer rights.

18. Legal Guarantee

Products must meet what you may reasonably expect from them.

If a product has a defect or does not match the agreement, Dutch and EU consumer law may give you the right to a suitable solution.

This legal guarantee applies in addition to any commercial guarantee or warranty that may be offered.

Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory legal guarantee rights.

19. Product Care

To keep your jewellery in good condition, you should follow any care instructions provided with the product or on our website.

Unless stated otherwise, avoid:

  • Water exposure;
  • Perfume, lotions, and chemicals;
  • Sleeping while wearing jewellery;
  • Sports or heavy activity while wearing jewellery;
  • Pulling, bending, or dropping delicate pieces;
  • Storing jewellery in damp conditions.

Damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, poor care, or accidents may not qualify as a defect.

20. Promotions, Discounts, and Gift Cards

Promotions, discount codes, and special offers are subject to the conditions shown with the promotion.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Discount codes cannot be applied retroactively;
  • Only one discount code may be used per order;
